Great Minds On Learning returns for Season Eight
What can sport, music, art, writing and even dog training teach L&D about how people really learn?
Great Minds on Learning — the podcast that traces learning theory from the Greeks to the geeks — returns 3 August for Season 8. Hosts John Helmer and Donald Clark step outside the workplace to mine other fields for what their research, coaching traditions and hard-won practice can tell us about learning.
Season 8 line-up:
- 3 Aug: Sport and Learning
- 17 Aug: How creators learn music, art, film & TV
- 1 Sept: How we learn to write
- Dec: Dogs and learning
Also returning in September is its sister show The Learning Hack, now in its seventh year and ranked in the top 5% of podcasts globally. Season 16 runs fortnightly Sept-Nov, with guests including Erica Farmer and Ross Stevenson.
Both shows are on all major podcast platforms and YouTube, with episode essays on the Learning Hack Substack.
Which field outside of L&D has taught you the most about how people actually learn? Sport, music, art, writing, dog training — or something else entirely?
