L&D Quote of the week

Who was Mahatma Gandhi?

Gandhi was the leader of India’s nonviolent movement for independence from British rule.

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Mahatma Gandhi

In Learning and Development we live inside this paradox every day.

We design for urgency. Skills needed now, problems to solve tomorrow, performance that has to shift this quarter.

And we design for longevity. Mindsets, curiosity and capabilities that will still matter in ten years, long after the course is finished.

One asks us to act. The other asks us to stay curious.

So here is the question we are asking our community this week:

If you had a lifetime to learn, what is one thing you would finally commit to mastering — and what is one thing you are learning today that is worth passing on tomorrow?

We would love to hear your answer in the comments.
